Re: Kees Talen's "space charge" regen

After the schematic there are bullet points that you can read about this. As an EE the designer's rationale makes sense to me. BW

Re: KRC-2: does anyone know about this kit?

Fremodyne is a VHF converter – superregen detector, for FM broadcast, in one tube. The radioboard thread has some pretty silly questions asked about the

Re: KRC-2: does anyone know about this kit?

That's the way to go, Arnie! It is a reproducible and responsive design which lends itself well to experimentation with RF, regen and AF stages. These can be

Re: KRC-2: does anyone know about this kit?

Dear amigos: You are talking about a radio receiver circuit that is composed of two elements: 1. The front end , that includes the antenna input attenuator,

On a closer inspection I found this forum thread: http://theradioboard.com/rb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6973 Qrp-gaijin, which I believe is a member here, started

Thanks Howard, If you don't mind, can you or anyone else explain what a fixed IF has got to do with a regenerative device? Do I understand correctly if I say

Don't know it personally but I'm VERY impressed by the principle of a fixed 10.7 regeneration strip. It must have a converter for the various bands so you have

Reminder: the RF amp description from the author reads, "I wanted the grid of the RF amp to have ONLY the bias level established by the 1K cathode resistor on

KRC-2: does anyone know about this kit?

Hi all, after selling my commercial receiver I am thinking of building a regen from a kit. After long browsing and surfing, I've seen this kit:

I am curious about this GG issue. Empirically, is any difference in performance noticed with or without the choke? Theoretically, how are the two

Re: Kees Talen's "space charge" regen

Probably because it’s not a grounded grid amplifier with the grid not grounded. A one-off success does not make an incorrect explanation good or guarantee

Re: Kees Talen's "space charge" regen

Why don't you read the notes made by the designer instead of guessing? He discusses the choke and the grid circuit of the RF amp. Read and understand. BW
